Right so we've all heard those sayings people regularly offer up about life and love and whatnot.
"If you can't love yourself you can't love someone else."
"Love will find you when you stop looking."
"If she wakes up half way through and talks about pressing charges, just pull your tongue out of her bum and leave."
But that's all they're supposed to be - ideas, sayings. Which made Friday night all the stranger. I quite literally did not want to go out. I had a fever, a cold, I was tired and I had a heap of places I had to be and people I had to meet. And I was ready to pull the plug on it all. At the last second, drowning in my own snot and burning up with non-Disco fever, I decided to jump down to Bimbos for a beer.
A week earlier I met a cool chick in pigtails on the dancefloor. We boogied and laughed, which felt a little strange because of her male companion who looked on from the sielines. Dragging myself to the floor this Friday and hang on...I know those pigtails! France is her name and we ended up at Altitude dancing very close and sharing a little kiss. Last night I went to Laundry to see Rob on the decks and SMS'd her on the off chance she was up for another boogie. She was.
Now I don't want to talk this up too much but not only was I not looking for someone, I was activly hoping not to find anyone in the state I was in (sick and all). Now there is a very spunky girl who kissed me goodnight and says she'd love to catch up again.
Also I think I'm in a SLOCA show again - Witches of Eastwick - as some husband character. Lots of driving and late nights methinks.
